Legends in the Making!

On this Splinterlands community engagement challenge I will talk about how did I join to splinterlands, how did I find the game, my first card, my strategy when I starter and my current goals.

How did I discover Splinterlands?

Around July of 2021 I started to hear about the nft games, I didn´t even know they exist before that, so I get very interested in them and star to check lots of them, check mostly youtube lists of recommended games, tops, etc , and splinterlands was one of the most mentioned at that time, So I finally joined Splinterlands at August of 2021 as my first nft game, I joined others games as well after, since them I has spend a lot of time on Splinterlands reinvesting mostly what I earn at first, not only on the game I has spend time also on the market, repricing my cards for rent, looking for the best deals selling as well from time to time, I got very interested on the game economy as well at some point I was even more interesting on the economy part than in the game and I am not talking about the monetary rewards, I talking about how it everything works like cards actual value, burn value, rental value and star to make small with almost no risk investments.

My First Card

Pretty sure my first card ever was Creeping Ooze

At that time there was not formats like Modern and Wild, and you will mostly always rent a few level 1 neutral cards that you will use in a lot of games like Chicken or Creeping Oze and since Chicken was quite expensive at that time and I mostly reinvested my earnings I chose to buy this one. I may got a reward card before this one but this one was the first card I buy.

How has my strategy evolved since I started?

At first I just rent I few cards a day and very cheap ones, didn´t like the idea of renting to much, after lot of time realize that even though it cost me more to rent more an stronger cards the earning % is higher up to some point, renting too much and the top tier cards may decrease this earning % so I stay at a place with low risk but not so low earnings, after chaos legion come and price goes incredible low I started to buy high level or even maxed out cards for the first time, renting less cards and playing with my own ones, after I got more cards I only star playing with my cards until I realize that is a lot more profitable to rent my cards and rent others cards cheaper and play with the ones I rented from others. Now with the only seasonal rentals I have not playing too much, but think my strategy will change again to something like playing with my cards at the first days of the season expending all my energy and them renting them out to others.

What are my goals in the game now?

  • Increasing my SPS a little just by playing.
  • Collect soulbound rewards cards just to have them in a decent level.
  • Sell some duplicate cards I have.
  • Keep looking for good opportunities splinterlands can give.

Splinterlands

Is an Auto-battler game where all card are NFT, you can own them and sell them when ever you want or rent them, you will earn SPS each time you win a battle and you can change it for USD if you want, it is a fun game with a playtoearn aspect that greatly increases the fun.
If you are not yet register in Splinterlands you can join it for Free by: Clicking Here . As a free user you can play and earn Glint, you will need to buy the Spellbook if you want to earn SPS and others rewards just for playing.
