Enjoying Boiled and Grilled Corn with the Family

Grilled corn is what I like best, what's yours?

A few nights ago, my husband was on duty and he and his co workers grilled some corn from our farm.

What's funny is that my husband did not know that his corn is ready and mature enough to eat. If not for his fellow basketball referee who asked him for some corn saying "Ton, mangayo ko ug anagon, mag arap ko ba, sabawan nako(Ton, Can I ask for some corn? I will mix them with vegetables and make soup)."
My husband then said "anagon na ba diay?(was it ready already?)"
The man said "anagaon na uy, gahi naman gani kay gisugbahan na nako didto sa Balay (yes, they were and is almost hard, I had been grilling some in my place)"
The husband was shocked knowing what he had done, he told him "nananghid paka nag kuha naman diay ka (the nerve of your to ask for some when you already done it)" and laughed.
My husband don't really mind other people getting corn and eating them as long as it won't go to waste and by that, he and his colleagues took some corn and grilled them and they enjoyed it while they worked.

Grilled corn was much faster to cook so we were able to enjoy it before the boiled ones were ready.The next day, he brought corn home for us to cook and enjoy. My mum, sister and kids like boiled corn but my husband grilled some for me too. @eylii was very excited to have them and helped his dad on the kitchen.

The family enjoyed our snack that night and now we are waiting for the corn to be mature enough to be harvested.

Farming is never easy and it really feels so good to eat the fruit of our labor, and God's blessings.

I hope we will have more of this soon.
