The energy of cats in a very special and magical place.

Cats are always in my life, not only because I have two cat children, but because on my walks they always come out to meet me.

There is no better place to present my first publication in this community than a path that belongs to a beautiful garden, the gardens of the Alcazaba Castle and whose owners are the cats, yes, they are the owners.

As I always say I love cats, with an almost irrational love, it is uncontrollable. Every time I see one I simply want to touch it, to be near it and enjoy its company.

A few years ago, shortly after arriving in Spain, and walking along this beautiful path, one summer night, I found that it was inhabited by cats, lots of them.

Walking here is absolutely magical and even more so in the company of so many small felines that come out to meet those who pass by the place. Most of them are tourists, but others are simply cat lovers like me.

I have visited this place many times, not only because I love nature and it is a beautiful place, but also because of the cats. When they see people passing by they come out from behind a plant, a bush, a tree and they are just there looking, watching.

Many of them, most of them don't let themselves be touched, unless they have a lot of confidence in the person, unless they know them very well. This is the case of a couple that goes to bring them food every day and then they feel very comfortable and allow themselves to be caressed and to be very close.

They come in all colours, white with some black spots, brindle, black, orange, all colours are present and also the tri-coloured cats which are females.

They like to sit on the benches or on a nearby building, because in the early afternoon hours the sun comes to those places and they enjoy it, they walk around or just take sunbaths.

I have always liked to know more and more about cats and I know that the sun is vital for them, the sun allows them to release not so good energies and recharge other energies that renew. Cats are great energy transmuters, they also get vitamin D by licking themselves after a sunbath.

When I arrived on this occasion there were two women taking pictures of an orange cat and he seemed to have no problem posing and was enjoying the sun. They were two tourists, I noticed because they spoke another language I think French and they loved cats. Most people who go there are there for them.

I walked along the road a bit finding cats here and there, some resting, but attentive to everything that happens, others playing with each other, others sitting like statues, but there is a completely black one that is very sociable and loves caresses.

He was sitting next to a girl, when he saw me he jumped out of the seat and came to my side, took me to another seat and let me pet him. There is also another one who is mostly white and has a very sweet and unusual face, he is also very affectionate.

You can see that many of them are neutered, but also that there are still fights between the male cats, because I saw some of them with battle marks. Suddenly I saw a very big black cat that appeared out of nowhere, he had a very unfriendly face and looked as if he was saying: ‘Don't come closer because I feel like fighting’. He quickly went off into the bushes.

Walking around there, they often follow people, accompany them, and when you sit down they are very close to you, sitting and watching. I have been there and even had a small picnic and the company of these beautiful cats fills every space of the walk with good energy.

It is very relaxing to know that they are close by, maybe because I have always adored them and love the company of these felines, I feel an almost inexplicable connection. They come with the mission to help people as if they were beings from another world who are here to take care of us, the truth is that near them I feel very safe, physically and spiritually.
