For a while now, I have been reading a book that took longer than I thought I would read it for. I put the blame on myself for not having to have finished reading the book due to my failure in proper planning and consistency. I probably had forgotten my reason for picking up the book and gotten distracted by other aspects of life, which resulted in my constant procrastination in reading the book.
Why did I keep procrastinating?

The reason is because I kept telling myself that I did not have enough time to read, which was how I kept lying to myself. I am also aware that in this life, we do not need more time to do the things we need to do; we just need more focus, and then we will do the things we need to do at the time we need to do them.
As I kept lying to myself, I forgot the principle, or better said, quote, which says that little drops of water can make an ocean. So if I had given myself some minutes every day and focused it on reading the book each day, I would have kept making progress instead of being still. Consequently, I chose no progress or little progress and after a few months, I found myself just far behind where I left myself.
Just as the way I had behaved to reading this book makes me wonder, what other aspects of my life have I put a pause to, and I know is of great importance, just because I got distracted by other things. Have I also been lying to myself in these aspects too, just like in the scenario of the book?
Taking little steps and choosing little progress over time is far better than staying still and not progressing at all. You don't have to wait till you have everything you need to have; just take the move and build momentum on it. The consequence of not doing so is that you get used to having unfinished tasks, projects, or any important duty you place yourself on.
But if you learn to always create time to be focused on a task and do as little as you can, then before you know it, you will be done. You will look back to see how far those little steps you took have taken you and will be grateful for it. The truth is time waits for no man, so we have to make sure we are making use of the time we have to do what needs to be done.
Remember to take those little steps now!
