Por esa misma labor como docente, tuve la posibilidad de analizar y estudiar muchos de los libros que conforman la literatura universal y leer libros que son verdaderos clásicos literarios. Autores como Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, José Martí Pérez, William Shakespeare, Gabriel García Márquez, Rómulo Gallegos, Emily Brontë, Agatha Christie, Homero, Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, Oscar Wilde, León Tolstói, Julio Verne y muchos más formaron parte esencial de mi etapa como profesora

Por tal razón, me fue difícil seleccionar un libro en específico, pero, escogí uno que estoy convencida de que muchos han leído porque forma parte de nuestro crecimiento estudiantil y estoy segura de que muchos lo han leído más de una vez o se lo han sugerido a sus hijos para que lo hagan.

El libro en cuestión es Corazón del italiano Edmundo de Amicis, novela escrita en forma de un diario que tiene como protagonista fundamental a un niño llamado Enrico. En el libro, cada capítulo es una reflexión que aborda temas esenciales de las personas como el amor, la amistad, la familia, la patria, el trabajo y muchos más.

Esta novela sucede en una escuela, durante un año escolar, por lo que como profesora pude utilizarlo para debatir situaciones parecidas ocurridas en mis clases contextualizadas a mi realidad y la de mis estudiantes

Si tuviera que decir cuáles fueron las enseñanzas esenciales que me dejó esta novela, no dudaría en mencionar a:

El valor de la familia como pilar esencial de la sociedad. En el libro, la relación de Enrico con sus padres es un ejemplo de amor, comprensión y ayuda entre estos seres queridos. En varios capítulos el autor utiliza esta relación para significar la importancia de los padres en la formación, educación y desarrollo de sus hijos.

La formación del carácter y la personalidad mediante la utilización de dilemas morales que los padres del niño reflexionan con él, para llevarlo a la importancia de la ética y los valores en los seres humanos.

La importancia de la amistad. Esta es una constante en el libro y tal vez el autor quiso fomentarla de manera especial al dedicar varios capítulos a tratar esta cualidad tan importante entre los seres humanos.

La valía del trabajo y el empeño que se debe poner en cada una de las cosas que hagamos. Mediante algunas reflexiones y/o capítulos del libro, nos muestran cómo estos valores son esenciales si queremos conseguir un sueño, pues no debemos esperar que las cosas nos lleguen por herencia o nos caigan del cielo, debemos conquistarlos con nuestras manos y por nuestros propios esfuerzos.

Otra de las enseñanzas esenciales del libro es la necesidad de ser empáticos y compasivos. Este es de los preceptos que más trabajé en mis clases y que más me aportaron porque aborda la necesidad de atender a los más necesitados y ayudar al otro.

Once again I come to share my criteria, on the proposal of @damarysvibra, which on this occasion I like very much because it is related to my profession as a teacher of Literature.

For that same work as a teacher, I had the opportunity to analyze and study many of the books that make up world literature and read books that are true literary classics. For this reason, it was difficult for me to select a specific book, but I chose one that I am convinced that many have read because it is part of our student growth and I am sure that many have read it more than once or have suggested it to their children to do so.

The book in question is Heart by the Italian Edmundo de Amicis, a novel written in the form of a diary that has as its main protagonist a boy named Enrico. In the book, each chapter is a reflection that addresses essential themes of people such as love, friendship, family, homeland, work and many more.

This novel takes place in a school, during a school year, so as a teacher I was able to use it to discuss similar situations that occurred in my classes contextualized to my reality and that of my students.

If I had to say what were the essential teachings that this novel left me, I would not hesitate to mention:

The value of the family as an essential pillar of society. In the book, Enrico's relationship with his parents is an example of love, understanding and help between these loved ones. In several chapters the author uses this relationship to signify the importance of parents in the formation, education and development of their children.

The formation of character and personality through the use of moral dilemmas that the child's parents reflect with him, to lead him to the importance of ethics and values in human beings.

The importance of friendship. This is a constant in the book and perhaps the author wanted to promote it in a special way by dedicating several chapters to this very important quality among human beings.

The value of work and the effort that should be put into each of the things we do. Through some reflections and/or chapters of the book, we are shown how these values are essential if we want to achieve a dream, because we should not expect things to come to us by inheritance or fall from the sky, we must conquer them with our hands and by our own efforts.

Another of the essential teachings of the book is the need to be empathetic and compassionate. This is one of the precepts that I worked on the most in my classes and that contributed the most to me because it addresses the need to care for those in need and to help others.
