The incredible story of Amir Hussain Lone, a young man who lost both arms in an accident when he was just 8 years old, but with tremendous determination, rebuilt his life and even learned to play cricket.

Amir Hussain Lone lost both of his arms in a terrible accident when he was only 8 years old at the sawmill where his father worked. Today, 18 years later, Amir has been chosen as the captain of the disability cricket team for the Kashmir region. In a sadly ironic twist, his father produced cricket bats at the sawmill that forever changed his son's life. The father had to sell the building and all of his equipment to cover Amir's medical expenses, as Amir spent three years in the hospital undergoing rehabilitation.

"Cricket has always been my passion, and at first, it was very difficult for me," the young man shared, explaining how he learned to use his feet as hands. "When I was younger, I couldn't even eat without hands. When I first tried to play cricket, people used to mock me, but now their attitude has changed: they encourage and support me."

Amir uses his feet to throw the ball and holds the bat between his shoulder and neck when it's his turn to bat. "Batting is not difficult, but bowling without hands is almost miraculous; it's incredible that I managed to do it."

The young man recalled the moment of the accident: "I was bringing food to my brother, who was working there. I usually stopped to play with the machinery, but that time both of my arms got caught in the saw."

Amir's father, Bashir, did everything he could to help his son, even losing his job. "I had my sawmill where I made cricket bats, but after the accident, I had to sell everything. At first, people were cruel to my son and told me I was wasting money and time on him because he would be useless. But what kind of father would I be if I cared more about my wealth knowing my son wasn't happy?"
