biggest advice to you, wear any G-shocks for 3 months, your 42mm will feel like a tiny dot on your wrist and just a layer of skin on how thin they'll feel.
I think the craze of big sports watches is that, a craze. Sure, big watches will always have their place due to legibility and durability, but like most things in the watch world, they are not necessary for telling the time. Therefore it comes and goes like the tide.
@@CarlsonTucker1 Like a dress watch, you could think of it as your day watch. I find the fact that the hour and minute hands are very similar to be more of an issue than the lack of lume.
Brilliant video Teddy, always finding a way to cover so many different brands and models. Love this type of series. Thanks for the exposure to watches across the board here!
After a year of saving and much thought, I finally acquired a Mark XX on the stainless bracelet and I can honestly say it’s my favorite watch I’ve ever owned.
Great video. This is the size I am poking around at for my first automatic watch. Most of these are way out of my budget, but it’s still awesome to hear TB’s take on these. In particular, I picked up on that Mido, which I wouldn’t have otherwise shopped. And his comments on some of the movements were enlightening. I appreciate this one a lot!
Think twice before getting it. I have sent my big date to get service because the date got stuck and now waiting for the movement replacement that hopefully resolve the problem (although still a bit sceptical with the replacement)
Picked up a amzwatch's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
"It's one of the most underrated brand in the industry" I'm happy that in this video you mentioned even my "Frederique Constant Classic Index" that I'm so glad to own. I've been thinking for quite a while to buy it and finally I made the step in March. 😊
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from amzwatch and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Definitely a comprehensive list. This is the second time viewing. The first time was when first was uploaded when I first started this interest. Since then my RUclips and browser history is nothing not watches. Viewing the second time, I'm far more knowledge and know about every one of those pieces. However, I picked up so much more info now that i know what you're talking about😊 Great video
I have the IWC Mark XX. Beautiful watch that is both flashy and subdued. I changed the leather strap to IWC fabric strap. It allows me to use it for any occasion without saying "look at my watch" but if one would notice, they would appreciate it :)
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Excellent video, as always, Teddy. With the increased thickness of the mechanical movement of the PRX below the case vs that of the quartz version, the case of the mechanical PRX looks like a diving board. Instead, pay half the price for the quartz and you get a better looking, better wearing watch. The same might be true for the Gentleman with its greater lug to lug, but I have not confirmed.
It would be so awesome to see you do a video where you take a watch at 2 stages in its life (ex. The Rolex air king, 2016 vs. the Rolex air king, 2022) and point the different design changes - the addition of crown guards and the 0 in front of the 5 minute mark as an example - I am interested to see how the design/idea progresses through time and would love your take on it. It would be like an interactive game for viewers too by showing 2 images of a watch and we can see how many changes we can point out along with you. Differences in polishing or in design elements. Just an idea for a different kind of video I’ve never seen before. Thanks for all your content I love it.
I bought a 116710LN about a month ago. My first Rolex to celebrate my most pivotal year in the last decade. It's such a universally wearable colorway used in a refined design, and its black bezel really tones the watch down a notch, allowing it to fly slightly under the radar. The GMT Master II is a great size for a sports watch but might be rather hefty for a daily driver for a lot of people. I was wearing a Longines Master Collection daily for over a year before the Rolex. I'm about 5'10", 85kg with a wrist size of 18cm. Even at my size, the wearing experience is night and day. The Rolex is substantially more robust, for the lack of a better term, and the weight really took some getting used to.
recently got a GS SBGH295 soko frost as my first luxury piece, saw it in person and immediately knew it was the one for me bc i stopped looking at the other pieces in the boutique 😂😂 really happy w my purchase and i'll probably be wearing it for a very long time 🎉🎉🎉
May I recommend humbly also: Grand Seiko Rikka SBGH271, amazing, to die for Zelos Mako v3 (if you can find one online) Orient Star Open Heart Moonphase (I have the blue one on bracelet with the wavy water dial texture) Seiko SBEC005 is also great but somewhat thick. Limited edition so will be harder to find but worth it.
I am so happy Eddie finally mentioned Breguet tradition, he tends to only showcase boring clean dial watches that all look the same, glad he finally showcased some less traditional (pun) dial watches
Hi Tessy love the video…. Love the content!! The grand Seiko you mention in the 44GS SBGP005 was pictured with a SBGP013. It maybe possible for you to change…. Either way both 40mm and great 9F moments with the 9F85!! Great video and my preferred case size, all mine are 40mm!!
Agreed. I have two and one is so banged up as it was my daily and scratched on a brick wall unlocking the door to a new house I was in and unfamiliar with 😢

Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from MaMaCoo I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
Teddy, great video as always. My humble suggestion would be to do another series based on wrist size, not case size. You can showcase dress watches to divers of different case sizes all appropriate to a particular wrist size. It's a new subject explore over many videos.
Brilliant idea! Bring in a guy with an 8 inch wrist (for example) to model different watches. This would be very helpful. (My wrist is 8.25 and I MUST try a watch on in person to know if it will actually work for me.)
This! Exactly this. Too many reviewers have tiny wrists. I'm 6'3" 225lbs, 8" wrist. Every single 36mm glory review makes me want to find the biggest Alpina equivalent. Where's the middle ground? We need better representation for larger wrists (preferably from bone structure and not obesity)

A little bummed the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf didn't get a mention. While I can't say I would consider it as an every day wear watch, the pink/white GMT bezel is absolute a conversation starter. I'm glad Zodiac is willing to make a watch that stands out from the crowd.

Hey Teddy you should see if you can get a tour of the Bugatti Tourbillon. There's a reason why it's called that. The gauge cluster mechanism is actually developed by Concepto!
Why do we always reference case size and not DIAL size? for example a 40mm diver doesn't have a 40mm dial since it has a bezel, but a non diver COULD be 40mm dial size.

The VC 1921 is a very deceiving size due to its “cushion” case design. Although, the 36mm is showcased as a “ladies” watch in its online website advertising, it’s suitable for smaller wrist gentlemen as well due to its unique case shape. Plus you get the dark brown calf skin strap included as a secondary bracelet vs the reddish hue strap that’s included with the 40mm variant
I'd throw in the Zenith Pilot type 20, excellent legibility, flat caseback and aged finish make this a very comfortable daily driver that doesn't shout "look at me"

I myself am starting to appreciate smaller sized watches. I say this while wearing my G Shock Rangeman GPR 1000 lol.
I’ve a 6.5” wrist and feel 40mm is too big for a dress watch. Some of the shots in this video reconfirmed this for me.

The Grand Seiko four seasons is such an incredible collection. The hi beat is gorgeous!!!
