Hope you enjoy this logo history. This is one of the longest logo histories i have made. Well, for now. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED.
The 1982 intro is, without a doubt, not only the best intro from the 1980s, but is also the best intro in logo history. So, and I mean sooo many effort is put into the intro, which makes it *absolutely impressive.*
Awesome logo history of HBO Feature Presentation! Holy Jesus! Where do we ever begin?! HBO has some of the best intros I've seen. And yes, we all knew that the greatest logo of all time would be the 1982 intro. They put a lot of effort into it, including the modeling of the city, which I think is one of the best models I've ever seen in a logo! Absolutely spectacular work! This might as well be my best favourite intro from HBO Feature Presentation, along with the 1998 and 2017 intros!
Couldn't agree more! The 1982 logo will always be the best feature presentation intro from HBO! Thanks for checking out my old logo histories!
1982 Through The 2000s Are My Favorites The Best Ones On This List
(6:17, 7:33, 8:41, 9:15, 9:50, 11:05, 11:40, 12:15, 12:50, 13:27, 14:00, 14:36, 15:12, 15:47, 16:21 & 17:31)
HBO in Space is way better.
This HBO Feature Presentation is always better than the others, including some new ones.
The audio itself from the 1982 hbo feature presentation is hood box office/religion which later be used as a sound trademark for HBO composed by ferdinand jay smith of score productiond
HBO is one of the few media brands that have retained their presentation DNA in such a way over the course of decades. The epic music, the logo, the sense of "THIS IS HBO!". They are also perhaps the only US media brand that has done this. Sure, CNN, NBC and others have largely unchanged in brand identity, but in presentation, nothing compares to HBO. In the UK, its rivals are Channel 4, and to a lesser extent the BBC...
The 1982 logo aged like wine
Great job, my friend!!!!

6:16 - 18:45 The party begins with the HBO in space logos
The intro makes me feel a little dizzy, maybe that's because I'm ill at the moment....
However the music is delightful.
